Adding Group Members:
- Admin Control: Only admins have the permission to add new members to the group, ensuring that participation is controlled and relevant to the group’s purpose.
- User Notification: When a new member is added to the group, they receive an immediate notification informing them of their inclusion. This keeps the new member in the loop and helps them integrate into the ongoing discussions quickly.
- Message Visibility Configuration: Messagenius offers organizations the flexibility to configure whether the new member can view messages that were sent prior to their joining. This setting helps maintain the confidentiality of previous discussions if required or allows full context sharing to help the new member catch up.
Removing Group Members:

- Automatic Admin Reassignment: If the original admin leaves the group and no other admins were previously assigned, Messagenius automatically assigns the first-added member at the time of group creation as the new admin. This feature ensures that the group remains under effective leadership, even if the original admin steps down.
- Delegation of Admin Role: The new admin can then delegate the admin role to others or assign additional admins, allowing for a flexible and responsive approach to group management.

How to add/remove a group member (for admins only)?
Step 1: Open the group chat settings from the chat list.
Step 2: To add a member, select “Add Participant” and choose users from the contact list.
Step 3: To remove a member, select the participant’s name and choose “Remove from Group.”
Step 4: Confirm your action. The group will update with a notification of the change.
How to leave/rejoin a group?
Step 1: Open the group chat you wish to leave.
Step 2: Select the group settings and choose “Leave Group.”
Step 3: Confirm your action. You will be removed from the group.
Step 4: To rejoin, contact the group admin or use the visible group in your chat list (if allowed) to request rejoining.
